Emerging Designers To Watch at London Fashion Week SS27

London Fashion Week's Spring/Summer 2027 schedule highlights eight emerging designers bringing distinct perspectives to the city's fashion landscape. The shows includes participants in the British Fashion Council's NEWGEN initiative and other independent talents.

Liza Keane

Liza Keane makes its London Fashion Week catwalk debut as part of the BFC's NEWGEN scheme. Founded by Central Saint Martins graduate Liza Keane in 2022, the London-based label creates sculptural, second-skin pieces from upcycled, deadstock, and natural-fibre materials. The brand has attracted a cult following, with fans including FKA twigs and Julia Fox.

Gui Rosa and Francesca Lake

Portuguese designer Gui Rosa, based in East London, employs a maximalist approach. Their work mixes crochet, tailoring, and embellishment, playing with masculinity and ornamentation. The label's spiky hats have been spotted on the global girl group KATSEYE.

Multidisciplinary artist Francesca Lake is another NEWGEN participant this season. The Central Saint Martins graduate and Kingston, Jamaica native uses garment construction to explore cultural memory and Jamaican experiences. Her pieces have been worn by Rihanna, Naomi Campbell, and Erykah Badu.

Agro Studio and Petra Fagerström

AGRO Studio, founded by design duo George Oxby and Angus Cockram, applies traditional corsetry, tailoring, and leatherwork to create sharp, glamorous silhouettes. The made-to-order brand has created custom looks for artists including RAYE, Madonna, and Lady Gaga.

Swedish designer Petra Fagerström, a Central Saint Martins MA graduate and L'Oréal Young Talent Prize winner, is known for experimental textiles. Her signature technique involves lenticular pleating that shifts from transparent to opaque with movement.

Geordie Campbell and Grete Henriette

Geordie Campbell's work puts a British spin on contemporary menswear, exploring queer identity and the boundaries between masculinity and femininity. He is reportedly behind the recognizable "Queer Boy" T-shirts seen on celebrities and influencers.

German queer artist Grete Henriette transforms metalwork, jewelry, and beadwork into wearable sculpture. Her designs, drawing on historical craftsmanship and nature, have been worn by Tyla, Addison Rae, and BLACKPINK.

Leo Prothmann

Munich-born, Mallorca-raised designer Leo Prothmann blends equestrian dress structure with a high-glam, experimental sensibility. Trained at London College of Fashion and with experience working alongside Rick Owens and Craig Green, Prothmann produces gender-fluid pieces in-house in London, informed by a background in expressionist painting.
