SILAS launched its Autumn/Winter 2026 'THIS IS HARDCORE' pop-up tour across Japan on Saturday, October 10, 2026. The tour features new collaborative pieces and a reimagined brand character.

The pop-up began at 00 GOFFAX in Harajuku, Tokyo. A reception to commemorate the opening was held there on Friday, October 9. The tour will move to Osaka and Kyoto, with each venue operating for over a week. The full schedule is as follows:

SILAS first took Japan by storm in the 2000s. Since a revival of the UK-based project last year, it is gaining support from a new generation inspired by that era. Its popularity is on the rise once again.

Collection theme and design inspiration

The 'THIS IS HARDCORE' theme is a direct reference to the title of Pulp’s sixth album, a classic from the late Britpop era. Founder Taro Ray drew inspiration from personal memories of seeing the band live at an East London pub in the 2000s. He also recalled the impact of seeing a man wearing SILAS for the first time.

Blending fashion and music is a specialty of the brand. In the lookbook, models appear dazed. A decadent mood lingers even within clean styles, evoking the world of Pulp's album.

New character Trevor and collaborative pieces

A key development for the season is the introduction of a new brand character named Trevor. He was created in a collaboration between Taro Ray and artist Ferry Gouw. Trevor is designed to replace Martin, the character created by James Jarvis at the brand’s founding.

Trevor's silhouette is straight and his pose has changed to one with hands in his pockets. He has an unsmiling, somewhat detached mouth and a cynical gaze rather than cheerfulness. The character was created to reflect the current youth scene in London and the atmosphere of that culture.

The lineup includes a collaboration T-shirt with the UK-based accessories brand SIX95. It also features signature denim pieces with playful stitchwork.

Customer experience and limited offers

Attendees at the pop-ups receive a special gift with purchase. Customers who buy products will receive a limited-edition teaser visual poster tied to the collection's worldview. The poster features a total of nine different designs.

The pre-opening reception at 00 GOFFAX in Harajuku offered an early opportunity to experience the authentic atmosphere of the UK street scene that the collection embodies.

The pop-up tour continues from Harajuku to Osaka and then Kyoto, with the Kyoto leg hosted at GWDH from October 17 to 25, 2026.
