According to the brand, the concept draws directly from specific cinematic references. WE11DONE cites the quiet yearning of Wong Kar-wai's In the Mood for Love, the melancholic devotion of Jim Jarmusch's Only Lovers Left Alive, and the volatile energy of Todd Haynes' Velvet Goldmine. The collection aims to translate the emotional register of these films-defined by restraint and unresolved desire-into texture and construction rather than illustrating them literally.
