Moncler’s 2026 Re/Icons campaign unites Jennie, Cher, and Grace Jones as cultural pioneers. The initiative, which now expands into a full ready-to-wear collection for the first time, features the three artists modeling updated vintage outerwear photographed by British photographer Gabriel Moses. Moncler said: "JENNIE, Cher, and Grace Jones each transform these vintage-inspired winter staples into 'symbols of originality, ambition, and lasting impact.'" The brand describes the stars, celebrated for their fierce individuality, as representing three generations of cultural influence.

Iconic styling and pieces

Each icon wears specific archival Moncler jackets revived for the Re/Icons collection. The looks highlight reimagined classics from the brand's mountaineering archives, styled with bold personal touches.

Jennie, the globally renowned K-pop star and Blackpink member, wears the black Karakorum jacket and a caramel Tibb gilet. She is also seen in an off-white puffer skirt, a ribbed top, and a balaclava. Cher, the trans-generational pop icon and multi-award winner, wears the cream-hued Himalaya jacket and a black Verone jacket. Her look is punctuated by a striking yellow scarf, a reference to her Bob Mackie-designed outfit from 'The Cher Show'. In the accompanying campaign film, she recreates elements of the original performance using the scarf to set dancers in motion. Grace Jones, the legendary musical innovator, wears the Karakorum Hooded Short Down Jacket in a deep violet. Her styling draws inspiration from her creative relationship with director Jean-Paul Goude, and she appears alongside a group of lookalikes wearing her signature dramatic makeup.

Design and heritage inspiration

The collection draws directly from Moncler’s legacy of outfitting alpine expeditions. It reworks iconic styles, from '50s expedition gear to '80s cult favorites, for a contemporary audience. Inspiration comes from archival photographs of Lionel Terray, one of Moncler's earliest collaborators. The brand equipped the historic 1954 Italian expedition that first successfully ascended K2.

This heritage is translated into a comprehensive range of pieces. The full-look collection includes windbreakers, T-shirts, pants, skirts, beanies, balaclavas, and silk-twill foulards. New titanium-and-leather sunglasses, based on vintage climbing goggles, have also been released. The campaign frames this as a reflection of Moncler's history of equipping intrepid pioneers, connecting that spirit to the boundary-pushing careers of the three featured artists.

Creative vision and availability

Gabriel Moses shot and directed the campaign, employing cinematic crowd compositions to explore themes of individuality and influence. Across the imagery, each artist is placed at the centre of a moving crowd. Moses uses contrasting environments to highlight their iconic status. The campaign is available to view in a gallery format on Moncler's official web store.

The Moncler Re/Icons collection is available now at selected Moncler stores and via the brand’s official website.
