The sixth annual Academy Museum Gala was held at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures on Saturday night, October 17. The event, presented in partnership with Rolex and co-chaired by Robert Rodriguez, Tom Ford, Steven Spielberg, and Kate Capshaw, celebrated honorees Charlize Theron, John Carpenter, and Colman Domingo while raising funds for the museum's exhibitions and programs.

Red carpet highlights from rising stars and established names

Following the global fashion weeks, the gala's red carpet became a display for designer looks. Inde Navarrette, the actress known for 'Obsession', wore a Schiaparelli fall 2026 couture dress. The strapless gown featured a sweetheart neckline, a drop waist, and a tiered bubble skirt in a midi length. Black polka dots cascaded over the neutral fabric. Navarrette completed the look with pointed-toe shoes, a diamond necklace, statement drop earrings, a low chignon, and bold makeup. She collaborates with stylist Enrique Melendez.

That Schiaparelli collection, designed by creative director Daniel Roseberry, debuted during Paris Couture Week in July. In a review, Joelle Diderich noted, "Rubbery dresses quivered and clung from every curve. There was a faint menace to even the prettiest looks." She described the collection as "a plunge into the abyss, it featured runway experiments that included a latex jacket with inflatable tentacles."

A star-studded guest list in designer finery

The guest list blended Hollywood veterans with new generation talent. Honoree Charlize Theron wore Tom Ford to accept her Icon Award. Taylor Swift wore Dior and closed the gala with a performance. The Fanning sisters both attended, with Elle Fanning in Valentino and Cartier jewelry.

Other notable looks on the carpet included:

Celebrity couples and cast reunions

The event also served as a reunion point for co-stars and a display for celebrity couples. Brittany Snow and Anna Kendrick reunited as 'Pitch Perfect' co-stars. Longtime couples like Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake, and Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell, walked the carpet. Chrissy Teigen and John Legend also attended together, while Emily Ratajkowski arrived with boyfriend Romain Gavras. Jessica Alba and Danny Ramirez attended but did not pose together.

A large group from the Netflix film 'La Bola Negra' attended, including actors Guitarricadelafuente, Miguel Bernardeau, Carlos Gonzalez, Milo Quifes, and directors Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi. The stars of the next Hunger Games movie-Mckenna Grace, Joseph Zada, Whitney Peak, and Maya Hawke-also arrived together.

Further adding to the glamour were appearances by Janelle Monae, Hunter Schafer, Tinashe, Sofia Richie, Lea Seydoux, Ellen Pompeo, Eva Longoria, Rhea Seehorn, Issa Rae, Hannah Waddingham, and Alexander Skarsgard. Inde Navarrette's avant-garde Schiaparelli look, with its polka-dotted bubble skirt and drop waist, provided a definitive fashion moment from the collection that had debuted months earlier in Paris.
