adidas Futurecool Styled for Campaign
Dazed's Senior Fashion Editor-at-Large Mirko Pedone details styling the new adidas Futurecool 3D-printed sneakers for a campaign ahead of their April 2027

adidas will globally release its Futurecool 3D-printed sneakers in April 2027. A campaign styled by Dazed's Senior Fashion Editor-at-Large Mirko Pedone showcases how to wear them, with a raffle for early access opening on August 28, 2026.
The Futurecool shoe builds on the brand's earlier Climacool model, which was a fully 3D-printed design focused on breathability. This new iteration takes the technology in a more sculptural direction. The campaign, photographed by Simon Birk, aims to move the sneaker out of a technical context and into daily wardrobes.
Pedone led the styling. "The great thing about adidas products is that, throughout history, they have been very versatile," he explained. His goal was to show how Futurecool could work across different styles, taking an instinctive and organic approach. "I myself style adidas with more fashionable pieces that are not sporty," Pedone said.
Menswear Look
For one men's look, Pedone highlighted red adidas shorts as a key piece. He described them as one of the season's trendiest items and a benchmark in the debate over men's shorts length. The look layered lightweight technical fabrics for the tops, including a coat, a windbreaker, and a shirt, incorporating pops of color meant to be mixed freely.
Womenswear Look
The chosen women's look aimed for an effortless and relatable feel. It is a sporty but elevated ensemble. The orange top used is a vintage Stone Island technical top sourced from the SI archive Arco Maher in London.
Smart Casual Approach
Another men's look constructed a "smart" aesthetic that avoided feeling too formal or forced with the sneaker. Lightweight technical fabrics were again central. Pedone sourced pieces from London-based designers Keogh Dewar and Luca Fabry.
An unlined lightweight technical blazer from Keogh Dewar and a sheer technical white shirt from Luca Fabry were mixed with adidas items. Following a brief of muted colours with pops of colour, Pedone added a rubber Luca Fabry belt for a playful twist.
The campaign was produced by Dazed Studio to explore the shoe's potential beyond its technical credentials. Pedone emphasized that the final looks needed to show the shoe's versatility, mirroring how he and stylists he admires integrate the brand into fashion.
For a chance to secure a pair before the global release, entries for adidas' raffle open on the CONFIRMED app on August 28, 2026.
