WILDSIDE Yohji Yamamoto and The Weeknd have unveiled a five-piece collaborative capsule collection. According to Hypebeast, the release commemorates The Weeknd's "After Hours Til Dawn" tour and is built around a previously unreleased illustration by artist Saeko Tsuemura.

The collection launches on Friday, September 11 at 6:00 p.m. JST. It will be available through WILDSIDE Yohji Yamamoto's online store, a dedicated Tokyo pop-up, and the brand's Harajuku and Osaka locations, with a strict limit of one item per customer across all five pieces.

The Artwork and Archive

The core of the collaboration is a newly unearthed drawing by Saeko Tsuemura. Her illustrations were part of a collaborative relationship with the brand from 1991 to 2002. This specific artwork had never been released publicly before, making the capsule an exercise in archive excavation as much as tour merchandise.

The graphic combines Tsuemura's illustration with the "After Hours Til Dawn" tour title. A special brooch fusing the WILDSIDE and XO logos acts as a unifying branding element across several pieces, offering a distinct alternative to stitched or printed labels.

Collection Pieces and Specifications

The capsule applies the central artwork across five distinct garment constructions, moving beyond simple jersey. The range includes outerwear, tailoring, and knitwear with varied materials and origins.

Design and Construction Details

The leather jacket represents the most substantial piece in the range. It features a free-size cut and uses polyester padding with a cotton lining. The Tsuemura illustration is printed across the garment's back.

In contrast, the tailored collar jacket presents the same graphic in a lighter manner. Its fabric blend was selected for low weight, resistance to creasing, and a restrained sheen. This piece deviates from the capsule's prevalent free sizing by being offered in two specific sizes.

The rayon shirt inverts the typical graphic placement. Here, the Tsuemura print occupies the front while the combined WILDSIDE and XO logo sits on the back. The source notes the printing method creates a hard contrast, giving the shirt its primary visual weight.

The two jersey pieces handle the graphic most directly. Both the USA-made hoodie and the Vietnamese-made tee feature the large illustration across the back with a smaller logo at the left chest. In these items, the tour title is integrated into Tsuemura's artwork itself.

Launch is set for September 11 across the brand's digital and physical channels with a firm one-per-person purchase limit.
